Britney Spears’ Camp Responds To Sam Lutfi’s Lawsuit

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) – Britney Spears’ conservators have filed a response to former manager Sam Lutfi’s lawsuit against her, claiming the pop princess’ oral contract with him is void.

Lutfi appeared in court on Monday and was granted a trial date on March 8, 2010 for his defamation and unpaid fees lawsuit against the 27-year-old singer and her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears.

According to the response papers filed by the Spears, as obtained by eonline.com, Lutfi’s oral contract with Spears is void because he deceived her by “not fully disclosing the purported terms of the alleged contract and/or making false promises” to her in order to get her to agree to it.

“I was hardly shocked that they didn’t agree with our position. But I think that there is ample evidence of this contract. There are writings that indicate the same. At the end of the day there won’t be much dispute about the issue.”

Lutfi’s attorney Bryan Freedman told eonline.com

Meanwhile, Britney’s paparazzo ex-boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, also appeared in a separate hearing on Monday. He did not contest his stay-away order from the “Circus” performer, unlike Lutfi, who filed an appeal against a judge’s extension of his restraining order last week.
